Grand Island, Neb. (KSNB) – Active family chiropractics has undergone major damage inside its location in Diers avenue after flooding at night.
The company had about two stagnant water feet in the parking lot, which swallowed the company’s vehicles in front of the front and rear bumpers.
Inside the building, the employees were welcomed with around 8 inches of water on the establishment’s floors.
Following the floods, the company disabled electricity inside to ensure that everyone was immune to wet electronic equipment.
Operations director Jenna Rivera said the damage was quite bad inside the building.
“It’s pretty catastrophic to be honest. Throughout the clinic, dry partitions will have to be deleted,” said Rivera. “Our first step at the moment is to bring out everything that is electronic water, to recover computers, servers, X -ray equipment, tables, therapy units, different things like that, so at the moment, it’s the kind of stadium.”
Rivera also said that the next steps were to transfer equipment to their office on webb road, which has undergone minor flood damage.
Rivera said the floods will be difficult to put financially.
“We are a business, so we have no flood insurance,” said Rivera. “This is not an area that is generally flooded, so we are in contact with our insurer, we contact, I believe that Paul Davis Restoration to help us start cleaning.”
She also said that despite the huge damage to their location in Diers Avenue, they always plan to make appointments as usual at their location of Web Road.
“At this stage, we are able to welcome all the levels of care they had before, we will not be able to offer our laser treatment today, but we will find it tomorrow,” said Rivera.
The open place of the Active Family Chiropractic family is located at 705 N. Webb Road in Grand Island.
