Chicago (AP) Sami Whitcomb struck five of Mercury 17 to 3 points franchise records and finished with 17 points, Kahleah Copper scored 16 and the Phoenix Mercury beat Chicago Sky 107-86 Saturday.
Kalani Brown struck a 3 – the second in the center of the 6 -inch 7 -inch center – with 25.6 seconds to play to break the previous Mercury record of 16.
Six different Phoenix players struck at least two 3 points, equaling the record in a single WNBA match.
Angel Reese finished with nine points and two career rebounds for the sky.
Phoenix (11-4) set a season for the points in a match and won five in row, including an 89-81 victory against the title champion of the WNBA New York on Thursday, for the first time since the Mercury won 10 consequences in 2021.
Sutou scored Sabally 15 points for Mercury and Alyssa Thomas collected 11 points and eight assists. Brown and Kitija Laksa added 11 points each.
Chicago (3-9) lost five of the six. Kamilla Cardoso and Michaela Onyenwere led the sky with 17 points each.
Phoenix made 35 of the 68 shots on the ground, 17 out of 35 from the 3 -point beach, 20 out of 24 of the free throw line and finished with 25 assists.
They only had 22 rebounds.
The Mercury welcomes New York on Friday. The sky plays Sunday in Atlanta.
