A new video is published Thursday from a Gas explosion in a Florida City Strip shopping center last month As one of the Plaza corporate owners said that he and his lawyers had even more questions after seeing the images.
Rudy Betancourt is the owner of Rainbow Smoke Shop, one of the many companies damaged and destroyed during the gas explosion on May 24.
He was able to recover a video surveillance from the interior and outside of his business showing the explosion. He neither his employee was not there at the time, but there were other people at the Strip Mall that morning.
“Posed, has lost the business, workers have no work now,” said Betancourt. “Everyone says nothing, everyone is silent.”
The owner of a restaurant in Florida City who was the scene of an explosion speaks.
The video shows that a few seconds after the explosion, people started to go out. Betancourt and his lawyers say that in the video you also see the gas employees going out.
“You see the man moving away from the explosion, they see that it happens, they know that it happens and they are moving away and leaving,” said lawyer Vivian Fazio.
Lawyers representing the Smoke Shop are According to the gas company, Florigas. They filed a trial on Wednesday, alleging that Florigas made several failures.
“Florigas is responsible for the negligence of their entrepreneur, whether authorized or without license,” said lawyer Sam Coffey.
A Florida City police report reveals that there was gas present in the pipeline, which probably led to an explosion at the Heart Caribbean restaurant. In total, 10 people had to go to the hospital.
Almost a month after an explosion of propane gas in a shopping center in Florida City, new surveillance images show the explosion of the interior of one of the companies while a new trial has also been filed against the gas company.
The police report indicates that a technician from the company Anel Costatrueba told an officer that he worked on gas driving to make sure that everything worked correctly and as soon as he lit the gas, there was an explosion.
Boutancourt lawyers say they cannot locate the company Anel Costatrueba, but they believe they were the subcontractor. Lawyers say that the company has not followed the basic safety rules.
“If you follow the safety rules and make a construction permit and have used an approved entrepreneur to install gas devices, the explosion should never occur,” said Coffey.
However, in this new video, the lawyer shared on Thursday, there is a truck with the name Radiant Propane Gas, which raises more questions for Betancourt, its lawyers and all the other affected by the explosion.
“Thank goodness, nobody really injured himself but did the right thing, we did not create this problem, the one who created the problem is solved the problem,” said Betancourt.
NBC6 contacted Radiant propane gas Thursday. Someone who won the phone said he and Florigas fell under the same property. NBC6 has not heard of Florigas either.
