Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, June 16, 2025 (Globe Newswire) – Graphjet Technology (“Graphjet” or “The Company”) (Nasdaq: GTI), one of the main developers of patented technologies to produce graphite and graphene directly from agricultural waste, announced today that the company has received a letter from the Department of Recording Qualifications of the Nasdaq Company (“Nasdaq”) on June 12, 2025 which noted the company that Nasdaq Negotiation of ordinary class A shares of the Company (“ordinary actions”) was suspended, pending a final written decision by the Nasdaq hearing committee (the “panel”). The hearing (“the hearing”) before the committee will be held on July 17, 2025, which means that the company’s ordinary shares will continue to negotiate on the NASDAQ at least until the date of the hearing.
The company previously revealed to have received a letter of determination (“opinion”) on June 4, 2025 of the NASDAQ indicating that the company did not comply with the requirements of continuous registration under rule 5250 (c) (1) of the “registration rule” of the NASDAQ. “SEC”) and (ii) the delay of the company to file its quarterly report on form 10-Q for the closed period on December 31, 2024. The opinion also declared that the company does not comply with the registration rule due to the company’s delay to file its quarterly report on form 10-Q for the period ended on March 31, 2025.
