The President of Estée Lauder Emeritus Leonard Lauder dies at 92

Ancient CEO of Estée Lauder Leonard Lauder died at the age of 92, according to a statement from the company.

Lauder, who was the company son founder Estée Lauder, Died on Saturday. He was recently emeritus to the board of directors of the Estée Lauder companies, after having previously been president and chief executive officer.

“Throughout his life, my father worked tirelessly to build and transform the beauty industry, a pioneer of many innovations, trends and best practices that are fundamental to industry today,” William P. Lauder said in a press release.

“Above all, my father was a man who practiced kindness with all those he met. His impact was enormous.”

Lauder was president of the Estée Lauder companies from 1972 to 1995, before becoming CEO in 1982. He held this position until 1999.

In a statement, the company said that Lauder “had constantly challenged the status quo, developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing programs that have revolutionized the beauty industry”.

“He created the first research and development laboratory of the company, brought professional management at all levels and was the engine of the international expansion of Estée Lauder companies, helping to increase the sales and benefits of the company in an exponential way,” said the press release.

The current CEO of Estée Lauder, Stéphane de la Faurie, cried the loss in a press release, saying that Lauder “was loved by many and we will miss a lot.”

“His energy and vision have helped shape our business and continue to do so for future generations,” he added. “I feel privileged to have worked with Leonard, who was the best mentor that I could have dreamed of.

His mother, Estée Lauder, Founded the company With her husband Joseph in 1946. The company has several emblematic brands of beauty, including Tom Ford Beauty, Clinique and Jo Malone London.

During his mandate in the company, Lauder “led the launch of many brands, including Aramis, clinical and Lab series, among others,” said his company.

“Until his death, he remained deeply involved in the company’s acquisition strategy, in particular the acquisitions of Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Jo Malone London, the sea and M ∙ A ∙ C,” added the press release.
