A human hunting at the national level is in his second day for Vance Luther Boelter, 57, who was identified by the organizations of application of the Minnesota law as the main suspect in targeted shooting early Saturday morning which left the democratic legislative Melissa Hortman and her dead husband.
The authorities said Boelter disguised himself as a police officer during the attack and that the reports focused on his apparent work as a security professional. In social media publications and websites, Boelter said he had an extensive experience as a security professional with “training by private security companies and by residents of the American army”.
NPR found little evidence in support of the Boelter account. He seems to have worked most of his career in the food service industry and a longtime friend described parts of Boelter’s story about his “fantasy” life.
Boelter is also wanted For the shooting of the Democratic State John Hoffman And his wife, who were injured in their homes. The authorities say that Boelter should be considered armed and dangerous. They asked the public to help identify their location and offer a reward of $ 50,000But said that anyone seeing Boelter should call 911 and avoid contact.
On the website of a company called Praetorian Guard Security Services, LLC, Boelter described himself as part of “the management team”.
NPR has found no registration of the company with customers or providing services. A call to the telephone number of the company connected to what seems to be a private telephone line, not a company. The address listed in incorporation documents seemed to be that of a law firm specializing in divorce disputes.
Boelter himself does not seem to have any history working in the application of laws, military or private security.
During Press conference on Saturday, Drew EvansCommissioner of Minnesota State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), said that part of the investigation is now focusing on Boelter’s history, possible training and alleged motivations.
“We work with diligence,” said Evans, noting that Boelter has left a written message recovered by the police, which has not yet been made public.
“It would be premature for me at this stage to really say exactly what could be the motivation of these writings,” he added, adding that it is not clear if it had specialized experience or training.
According to the authorities, Boelter abandoned an SUV which looked like a vehicle for applying the law on the scene of one of the shots after being confronted with the police. He then fled the scene on foot.

According to Carlson, Boelter hoped to open a security business and bought police style cars to possibly use for the company, but the project has never materialized. “It was a fantasy. There had been talking about it, but there was no movement,” he said.
In a Video published by Le Minnesota Star Tribune JournalCarlson read a text message which, according to him, had just boiled on Saturday.
“I love you guys and I made choices,” said Carlson. “I may be dead shortly … I want it not left this way.” According to Carlson, Boelter firmly opposed the rights of abortion but had not spoken of the issue for years.

“I am currently in the Democratic Republic of Congo who works on several projects,” Boelter on Linkedin wrote two years ago.
He said he had made the trip to speak with the officials of “our private commercial projects that are advancing all”. NPR could not confirm the veracity of this assertion.
Boelter apparently worked for several years as a convenience store and responsible for food services, publishing this spring on LinkedIn that he “sought to return to the American food industry”.
“I am quite open to positions,” wrote Boelter. “Other management positions outside the food industry I am ready to hear.
Boelter has served multiple terms from the Governor’s work council of the Minnesota GovernorWhere the authorities say that he may have met the senator of the Hoffman state, one of the victims of the shooting.
“We are still exploring that,” said Evans with Minnesota BCA. “There is certainly a overlap of some public meetings, I will say, with Senator Hoffman and the individual, but we do not know the nature of the relationship or if they really knew each other.”
Speaking on Saturday, Governor Tim Walz described the incident “an unspeakable tragedy”.
“It was an act of targeted political violence. Pacific discourse is the foundation of our democracy. We do not settle our differences with violence or under the threat of a weapon,” said Walz, who ordered flags in the stolen half-person in honor of Hortman, the appellant “a great leader”.
