These are just some of the ways in which El Pasoans describes Tour “Music of the Sphhere” by Coldplay Friday and Saturday. Thousands of fans filled the Sun Bowl Stadium for a pair of shows under the starry sky of the border, wearing LED bracelets that created a magnificent light show.
The concert opened its doors with Jim Ward from El Paso, followed by the Palestinian-Chilian pop artist Elyanna and the American singer Willow, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
El Paso was the only stop in Texas for the tour.
There have been many memorable and viral moments of Coldplay’s performance that goes around social networks. Concerning proposals with climbing fans on a mountain to have a view, here are the strengths of the shows.
Couples get engaged to the Coldplay concert
A handful of couples got engaged during the Coldplay concert – the touching moments were published on the Instagram page of Fad El Paso. During Friday’s concert, the singer of the group, Chris Martin, paused in the show while the cameras captured a man who knees and revealing a ring to his future bride.
“And what is funny is that these two people have never met before this evening,” joked Martin. “It is the power of love.”
Another video on Fit Fam shared at least three other couples engaging while the spectators applauded around them.
“Pray for a loving marriage for all, congratulations,” wrote a person in the comments.
Chris Martin underlines the crowd on the mountain
Videos of a crowd that I looked at the concerts from the top of the mountain mountain also made its way around social media.
While a camera has zen on the dozens of fans, Martin started for freestyle about them by looking at the show for free and shed light on the situation.
“Hello, my beautiful brothers and sisters,” said Martin. “I hope you sleep well, your tickets were very cheap.”
The crowd then laughed.
The musician from El Paso receives a cry
Martin credited the musician of El Paso, Jim Ward, for having spoken to the group of El Paso, a moment shared by the mayor Renard Johnson on his official Instagram account.
“Jim is the man who told us about El Paso and made us fall in love from afar, and he was not lying,” said Martin.
Ward, co-founder of Sparta and in the Drive-In, went on stage shortly after the opening of the doors.
Coldplay receives the key to the city
Johnson also shared the moment when the group received a key from the city.
“The main singer Chris Martin said that we were the first city to give them the key to the city. Incredibly grateful to have them in our beautiful city of Sun for two unforgettable days. The only stop in Texas during their tour, and they chose us,” wrote Johnson His official Instagram page.
Martin displayed the key to the concert and encountered applause.
“I would like to thank you very much to the mayor of El Paso who gave us a key to the city,” said Martin. “I am so happy that I will never be excluded from El Paso.”
