The black box of Aircraft The plane was recovered on Friday, the authorities announced, in a development that will likely lead to clues to the cause of the accident that killed 241 people On the flight and several others on the ground.
The Boeing 787 to London struck a medical college inn when the plane fell shortly after takeoff on Thursday in a residential area of the northwest city of Ahmedabad.
The plane’s digital flight data recorder, or Black Box, was recovered on a roof near the accident site and the India aircraft accident office said that he had started his work with “full strength”.
The restoration of the black box marks an important step in the investigation, said the Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu in a social media position.
Professor Paul Fromm of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers based in the United Kingdom said in a press release that the flight data recorder had information on engine and control settings, apart from vocal recording of any cockpit conversation.
“This should quickly show if there was a loss of power or lifting of the engine after takeoff and allow a preliminary determination of the probable cause of the accident,” said Fromme, who directs the aerospace division of the professional association.

In addition, the country’s civil aviation regulator has published an India Air Adding Order to do an additional interview and improved safety inspections from its Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 Dreamliners equipped with Genx engines of General Electric. Key inspections include fuel parameters, the cabin air compressor, the engine control system, the hydraulic system and a review of the take -off parameters, depending on the control.
Friday, investigators continued to search the site of one of the worst aeronautical disasters in India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the only surviving passenger one day after the accident.
Aeriens consultant Jeff Guzzetti, who is a former crash investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration, said that investigators should be able to answer certain important questions about what caused the accident next week as long as the flight data recorder is in good condition.
Guzzetti said the main problems that the investigators probably envisage include if the plane shutters and other parameters were correct, if the engines lost power and if the crew has entered the hot temperature outside and the weight of fuel and passengers correctly.
He said that an error in the data that the crew devoted to the plane system could lead to the definition of shutters and slats.

“I am not saying that this accident will be resolved immediately, but I think that certain basic factual questions will be able to answer a quick order,” said Guzzetti.
DNA tests were carried out to identify bodies that were mainly charred beyond recognition. More and more victims should be found in the search for the accident site.
The plane struck a building hosting a medical college inn and caught fire, killing several students, in the city which is the capital of Gujarat, the original state of Modi.
“We are all devastated by the air tragedy in Ahmedabad. The loss of so many lives in such a sudden and heartbreaking way is beyond the words,” said Modi on social networks after visiting the site. “We understand their pain and also know that the vacuum left behind will be felt for the years to come.”
The survivor was seen in television images meeting Modi at the government hospital where he was treated for burns and other injuries.
Viswashkumar Ramesh told India national broadcaster that he still couldn’t believe that he was alive. He said the plane seemed to be stuck immediately after takeoff. He said the lights light up then, and just after that, he accelerated but seemed unable to gain height before he crashed.
He said that the side of the plane where he was sitting fell on the ground floor of a building and that there was space to escape after the door opened. He detached his seat belt and forced himself to get out of the plane.
“When I opened my eyes, I realized that I was alive,” he said.
The survey includes American experts
American participants in the survey will include people from NTSB, FAA, Boeing and General Electric.
Professor Graham Braithwaite, director of aerospace and aviation at the University of Cranfield, said that the main objective of the investigation would be “to find opportunities to prevent future accidents”.
“The multinational and multidisciplinary team will work together and can also involve specialists from the manufacturer or the operator,” he said, “but under very strict controls to ensure the independence of the survey.”
Doctors carry out DNA tests to identify the people killed, said the president of the Federation of the All India Medical Association, Akshay Dongardiv. Meanwhile, mourning families gathered outside the civil hospital in Ahmedabad on Friday.
Two hospital doctors said the bodies of four medical students killed on the ground after the plane crash had been given to their families. They said that at least 30 other injured students were still hospitalized and that at least four of them were in critical condition.

Friday, Modi held a meeting with senior officials and met some of the injured in the field during the hospital visit.
Thursday’s Air India accident involved a 12 -year -old Boeing 787. Boeing aircraft were prey to safety problems on other types of aircraft.
According to experts, there are currently about 1,200 of the 787 Dreamliner planes worldwide and it was the first fatal accident in 16 years of operation.
The Indian Conglomerate Tata Sons took over India in 2022, returning the National Suté carrier from debt to private property after decades of government control. Since taking control, Air India has ordered hundreds of new planes, redesigned its brand and the livery and absorbed small airlines in which Tata has held participations.
Eye witness accounts describe damage
Residents living in the surroundings, which were among the first to rush on the accident site and help save, described the extent of the damage as they had never seen.
“At the beginning, I could not understand anything, it was only smoke everywhere. We could see small games (of the plane) burn,” said Indrajeet Singh Solanki.
SOLANKI said he and many others helped the wounded and rushed them into hospitals. “We had only one goal: to save lives whatever happens,” he said.
The tragedy let him shake.
“It will be difficult to sleep for the next few days at least,” said Solanki.
