TUST enters a new chapter after almost 14 years of award -winning narration, endless community engagement and KTVB touch style.
Boisse, Idaho – longtime sports director of KTVB Jay TUST On Thursday, he announced that he was leaving the Idaho Newschannel 7 for an exciting opportunity with Boisse State Athletics.
Jay joined KTVB in July 2011 following a three-year race in Klew-TV in Lewiston after starting his broadcasting career at Fox Sports Northwest in Bellevue, Washington.

Jay has covered Boisse State across the country – stadiums and cities to athletes, championships and bowl matches – in almost 14 years in KTVB.
He covered medalists and Olympic gold hopes, play-by-play and color comments, and legends like Kristin Armstrong, Chris Petersen, Kellen Moore and Ashton Jeanty, to name only a few.
His narration of heartbreaking and inspiring stories, including those of Softball coach Eagle Doug Corta and Boise State Football Player Battle of Antoine Turner With homeless, have defined excellence in sports journalism.

As an official Bronco Nation station, KTVB is looking forward to working with Jay in his new role.
It is crazy to think, but 14 years ago this week, I accepted a job offer from KTVB and I made the decision to move to Boisse.
I cannot tell you how excited I was for this opportunity. I will never forget to stop in the parking lot on my first day of work and see all the matching white Ford Explorers remote in their stands, apparently eager to attack everything that the day had in store. That night, my first night in the air, I was able to sit on the desk with “The Big Three”, the legends KTVB Carolyn Holly, Dee Sarton and Mark Johnson. Everything was so big.
I knew I was getting started in something special, but I did not know that my race would last 14 incredible years. I did not know how much I would fall in love with this community and my family here in KTVB. It attracted me long enough to fall in love with a beautiful wooden girl, and that’s it, I became Boisan. We finally got married, had wonderful children and we are waiting for our third child later this summer. We are so proud to call Boisse “with us”.
My trip here was not always perfect, but if I learned something as a journalist, imperfection, unpredictability and resilience are key ingredients to create the perfect story. I feel made, lucky and lucky. My only goal when I moved here was to work hard and be nice to people, and I am so grateful to have been placed in a city that embraces this mentality to your heart.
I loved my role as sports director at KTVB. I really think it is one of the best jobs on television. But it is time for someone else to live the magic of this position, and I can only hope that it gives him as much as it gave me.
To our viewers, I cannot thank you enough. The most pleasant part of my jobs was to feed your energy on the Bronco Roundup game and get the chance to interact with you, where it is during a sporting event, grocery store or somewhere between the two.
