Please join Stanford Reglab and the Niskanen Center on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm for a virtual discussion exploring how technology and institutional design can make government more effective.

A recent collaboration with the Office of the Prosecutor of the City of San Francisco used the AI ​​to analyze the municipal code and the municipal regulations of 16 million words from San Francisco and identify the requirements of obsolete or duplicate declaration – resulting in a legislative proposal to eliminate or consolidate 36% of reports. The initiative offers a powerful example of how technology, associated with an intelligent institutional conception, can modernize the government, reduce charges and release the capacity of what matters most.
