Q: After years to deal with this in private, what inspired you to finally share your story with your business?

A: After 2009, when I joined Ryan, when I overcome the bump, I had shared enough with my inner circle. But the first time I spoke publicly, it was in 2015 or 2016. I could say that it was simply not of me. I created a space where I could talk about it and make it real. He just accelerated from there.

Q: You said that at the start, you told your story a little spontaneously during a speaking commitment. What inspired you to open up?

A: It is a question of putting an end to stigma; We have to end stigma. People with cancer get help. It’s common, it’s everywhere. From there, it has become easier.

Q: Have you obtained negative comments or comments from other managers or employees?

A: None of anything. It was only continuous support. If I had done it 15 years ago, it could have been different.
