Northern police of Vancouver said that a 11-year-old child is dead and another is at the hospital after a tread-up boat struck them while they were towed to an inner tube on Saturday.

Sunday afternoon, the North Vancouver RCMP shared the details of the collision during a press conference.

They said that the driver of the speed boat was in detention but had not yet been billed.
