United Airlines, whose head office, is in partnership with the popular musical application, Spotify to even better improve entertainment in flight.
United Airlines Passengers will be able to listen Spotify Playlists, audio books and video podcasts directly from their file screens, from this week.
This is a first for Spotify, which has never offered its video features and audio books on an airplane platform, United said in a press release.
“Spotify has a huge audience and people like their content. And now our customers can enjoy it in a simple and easy way, at 35,000 feet,” said Richard Nunn, CEO of Mileageplus, in the press release. “Together, we give millions of customers a whole new way of discovering and exploring premium content of the most popular artists, authors and podcasters in the world – while flying with the latest technologies in the sky.”
United said that next year, passengers will be able to use their personal devices to connect to the Spotify application on the flight entertainment screen.
Spotify said United was the right partner to bring its content to passengers.
“The collaboration brings the spotify experience that fans know and love the sky, so that passengers can disseminate their reading lists, favorite podcasts and audio books on the United Flights,” the giant streaming, in an email at CNBC.
This decision follows the recorded customer satisfaction scores of its entertainment by stealing in evidence First quarter incomesaid a spokesperson from United.
