Portland Ore. (KPTV) – The Sports braThe Portland pioneering bar which exclusively projects female sporting events, is taking the road.
The bar announced Tuesday that it would open franchises in Boston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas and St. Louis.
Founded in 2022 by Jenny NguyenThe sports bra has made the headlines of national newspapers to overthrow the traditional model of the sports bar by devoting all the screen time to female sports.
“The first four franchises of sports BR will join our location of OG Portland to become the” starting five, “said Nguyen, founder and CEO of the bar. “Together, we serve the national fans who are hungry for spaces which not only defend female sports, but create a community where everyone has the impression of belonging.”
The cities selected for expansion each have a female sports scene. Fans can encourage local teams like the AS of WNBA Las Vegas and Indiana fever, the PWHL Boston fleet, the Boston Legacy FC, and more.
Each new sports bra location will be held locally and operated.
“We know by experience that the traditional prices of the sporting bar are not for everyone. This is why we offer dishes carefully prepared for each food need, including the options of vegan, vegetarian, gluten and without dairy products,” added Nguyen.
Mum’s baby’s back ribs, Auntna-Glaze’s Vietna-Glaze wings of Aunt Tina and Tempeh Reuben will be available in all places, just like signature cocktails, including goat, title IX, cherry picker and pickle ball.
Nguyen said that this expansion is more than food and sports, it is a movement.
“The sports bra is more than a place to watch the match – it’s a movement. Our team spoke with hundreds of people interested in the opening of a franchise location, and we met incredible people along the way. These owners / operators are capable, enthusiastic and deeply engaged in the BRI mission. ”
The opening dates for new locations will be announced because the franchise owners secure buildings in their cities.
