While the summer of 2025 takes place at high speed, Watertown and its surroundings are fortunate to have a new center for indoor entertainment, whatever the season.
Infinity Fun, which officially opened its doors at the end of April, offers various fun activities for all ages.
The 42,000 square feet family pleasure center is located at 714 9th AVE. SE, a space that has been reused by a former shopko to bring the community to a place where families and friends can meet.
Jared Paulson, a local entrepreneur who has smoke solutions in various places through southern Dakota, is the founder and visionary behind Infinity Fun. Born and raised just to the west in Henry, he came to Watertown shortly after obtaining his secondary school diploma. Paulson told public opinion that he was delighted to offer a new place of pleasure in theaters at the start of the summer of Watertown.
“I tried to make a family pleasure center a few years ago, just before Covid-19. I wanted to do it for a long time,” said Paulson. “I started looking around and conceiving and exposing everything. I knew that Watertown needed something, so I worked with the space I had and made it work.”
Some of the many entertainment options include mini golf, trampolines, laser tag, mini bowling, video games, lots of food, drinks and sweet game, a safe and engaging area for young.
More arcade games, ax launch, a golf simulator, a rabies room and additional food products – including barbecue – are the next on the horizon.
Additional food choices, including a buffet of pizza, meat and salad are also in preparation. Paulson manages a restaurant in the same building. It’s called Tiki Smokehouse. The restaurant serves smoked ribs, ribs, chest, effiloche pork and more barbecue items.
Paulson has been developing companies in and around Watertown for more than a decade and has been grateful to Dacotah Bank for helping him obtain loans for installation. He is currently working on several other companies in Watertown and through the State.
The following year, Paulson planned to open up an additional infinite pleasure in Rapid City after a visit where he noted the lack of interior activities for the families of the Black Hills.
Back in Watertown, the center was quite busy, especially on weekends.
The current operating hours of Infinity Fun are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
