Abu dhabi- Etihad Airways (EY) The Airbus A350-1000 will present on its road from Sydney (SYD) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) from October 1, 2025, offering advanced business class suites and improved passenger comfort.
The airline will go entirely to its 10 weekly flights from Sydney to the A350 before January 31, 2026, replacing the Boeing 787-9 On this key route in Australia-Uae and considerably expanding premium capabilities.

Etihad deploys A350 in Sydney
Etihad Airways decision to deploy the Airbus A350-1000 On the Sydney – Abu Dhabi road marks a strategic improvement in its long -haul products offer.
Initially operating certain flights from October 1, 2025 alongside the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the A350 will become the exclusive plane of all Sydney services from January 31, 2026.

The improved product aims to attract both outgoing Australian passengers and incoming travelers who connect via Abu Dhabi to destinations through Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

A350-1000 configuration
The Airbus A350-1000 offers the latest Etihad cabin innovation, fueled by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB fuel economy engines which offer a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
THE Business class Cabin has 44 private corporate studios with sliding doors, direct access to the aisle and beds linked to the mass of 79 inches. Each suite includes a wireless charging station, a bluetooth helmet torque and an 18.5 inch touch screen for flight entertainment.
Economy passengers benefit from 327 intelligent seats equipped with 13 -inch touch screens, innovative inclination features and Bluetooth connectivity.
All customers can take advantage of free chat packages on Wi-Fi or go to full internet access throughout the flight.
These aircraft improvements are aimed at business travelers and high -end leisure passengers in search of a modern, comfortable and connected flight experience.

Emirates A350 in Australia
The deployment of Etihad A350 closely resembles Emirates plans to exploit A350 flights to Australia.
Emirates Airline (EK) Strengthens its premium offer with the deployment of its long-term Airbus A350-900ulr in Adelaide (ADL), marking an important step in its Australian operations. The new plane will operate on the EK440 / 441 roads from December 1, 2025.
Simultaneously, Emirates (EK) extends its network of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 modernized to eight new world destinations, notably Bangkok (BKK), Hong Kong (HKG) and Frankfurt (FRA), from Dubai International Airport (DXB).
