Baton Rouge, Louisiana (WAFB) – You are invited to take a trip to Louisiana Art and Science Museum in downtown Baton Rouge to enjoy many activities in June.

Museum officials published the following details on the events you can enjoy.

Sunday June 1 – First Sunday free

On the first Sunday in June, the museum is organizing an exploration, creativity and discovery day with free admission to galleries and various practical activities for all ages.

In addition, for a reduced admission of $ 5, you have access to unlimited Fulldome Sound planetarium emissions.

Wednesday June 4 – Kick -off of the Beat the Heat Summer series

The Heat Summer series of the Beat the Heat museum begins on Wednesday June 4. You can enjoy a daily range of engaging, educational and family programs at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum and the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium.

Saturday June 28 – Annual day of the Lasm Dino

The Louisiana Art & Science Museum will host its annual Dino day on Saturday June 28 at 10 a.m., visitors will have the opportunity to engage with a paleontologist while they are presented to “Jason”, the triceratops of 66 million 66 million, exhibited in Lasm.

Dino Day will include practical activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in collaboration with various community partners and immersive shows on the theme of dinosaurs in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium until 5 p.m.

Visitors will be able to discover “Jason” the triceratops, who are generously loaned to Lasm by raising the Cannes family and the Todd Graves family. “Jason” is an extremely popular attraction for visitors – especially students visiting the museum during field trips – since 2016.

Basf’s children’s chemistry workshops will also be offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for children aged 6 to 12 and their adults who accompany it, and Basf pop-up science will present a steam commitment from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for visitors of all ages.
