VA San Diego Healthcare System participated in patients’ experience week (PX)
From April 28 to May 2, 2025, San Diego Healthcare System participated in patients’ experience week (PX), which is held simultaneously in hospitals goes across the country. The week PX is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our veterans for their sacrifice and their service to our country as well as to our employees for the care and the services they provide to our veterans. The global theme of this year was “having the experience: your actions have experiences”, which has strengthened the commitment of VA San Diego to create a culture of excellence and high reliability while providing 5 -star care and experiences to our veterans. Every day of the week had a special theme, and various activities and events took place to represent and celebrate these themes.
On Monday, the theme was the national day of thanks where managers and senior officials welcomed our veterans and employees at the main entrance and gave them a gratitude card and thanked them for their service. For Tuesday technology, we organized a technology, innovation and resources fair, where we shared precious information and have demonstrated our veterans and employees on some of the primary tools and technologies in the industry that we have to the health system goes San Diego. On Wednesday, the theme was the voice of the veteran, and we focused on a “Your Voice Matters” campaign where we educated veterans on patient satisfaction surveys they can receive, encouraged them to finish and return the surveys, and informed them of the way we use their comments to improve continuously. We have also shared our trigger veterans’ trust scores, which the previous week, 96.8% declared their confidence with the health system goes San Diego to provide them with their health care needs. This score was n ° 1 of 38 VHA level 1A with the highest complexity note. For a prosperous Thursday, we organized a whole health well-being fair where more than 450 veterans and employees learned and participated in various tools and resources of autoos and resources. Finally, Friday, the theme celebrated the excellence of employees where we held a ceremony of recognition of employees and have shown an appreciation to our employees who illustrate the fundamental values of VA and devote themselves to providing the best health care and services to our veterans.
The PX week was a great success and a microcosm of the commitment and dedication of the health system will San Diego to provide the highest quality of care and 5 -star experiences to our veterans.
