Zag Entertainment, the French animation studio behind the Miraculous: Ladybug and black cat tales Animated series, will establish a new studio in Japan in July. Zag Japan will have Kanji Kazahaya as director of the farm.
Kazahaya spent 15 years in management positions Animation toeiincluding as director of his international affairs. Kazahaya praised Zag’s previous work in a statement saying that the “revolutionary world success of Miraculous revealed the immense potential to mix Western animation with the soul of Japanese manga and anime. “”
Zag Japan also joins forces with the star of the Japanese talent agency. Tan‘s Hironobu Kageyama (Dragon Ball Z,, Man suddenly,, Kamen Rider SD) is already registered to interpret themed songs for the productions of the new company.
The founder of Zag Entertainment, Jeremy Zag, said that the launch of Zag Japan will allow the company “to explore the emotional depth and the artistic beauty of the Japanese narration by developing manga, animated series and traditional animated films”.
Animation toei East credited as co -producing the Miraculous: Ladybug and black cat tales Animated series with Zag Entertainment. Koma Warita And Riku Tsuchida launched a manga adaptation of Miraculous: Ladybug and black cat tales animated series in Kodansha‘s Shonen Sirius monthly Magazine in January 2021.
