Funding to Support Expansion and Innovation in Combating Malicious Drone Threats

D-Fend Solutions announced the successful initial close of a $31 million investment round. The funding was led by Israel Growth Partners (IGP), with contributions from existing investor Vertex Ventures and new investor Vertex Growth. This financial support will help the company advance its counter-drone technology and expand its global presence.

Strategic investment to address evolving drone threats

The company plans to use these funds to improve its technology, expand its market presence, and address new and evolving risks related to drones. This comes as malicious drone incidents continue to rise, posing security challenges in sensitive environments.

Zohar Halachmi (President and CEO), Yaniv Benbenisti (President and CPO) and Assaf Monsa (CTO)

“This financing demonstrates the confidence our investors have in our vision, technology, growth, brand and customer base,” said Zohar Halachmi, CEO and President of D-Fend Solutions. “The growing size, scope and complexity of malicious drone threats demand advanced, precise and reliable solutions. This investment will allow us to continue to innovate and expand our capabilities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of counter-drone technology, while providing control, security and, uniquely, operational continuity unprecedented to our global defense, homeland security, law enforcement, airport, and critical infrastructure customers.

EnforceAir: a solution for sensitive environments

D-Fend Solutions’ flagship product, EnforceAir, uses radio frequency (RF) cyber takeover technology to neutralize malicious drones. This non-kinetic approach ensures operational continuity while mitigating threats without collateral damage. The technology has been widely deployed in military zones, critical infrastructure sites, airports and other sensitive areas.

EnforceAir has been recognized as an innovative tool in the fight against drones. Booz Allen Hamilton has named its Cyber Takeover Effector a key emerging technology to combat non-kinetic unmanned aerial systems (UAS). D-Fend Solutions describes its approach as “highly controlled and surgical,” providing a solution tailored to meet the needs of various environments.

Global expansion and strategic growth

D-Fend Solutions operates in nearly 30 countries, including those of the Five Eyes (FVEY), G7 and NATO alliance. The company recorded revenue growth of more than 60% year-on-year, driven by balanced geographic and sector expansion. With this new investment, D-Fend aims to enter additional market segments, form new partnerships and integrate with more technologies.

IGP General Partner Uri Erde will join the company’s board of directors, alongside representatives from existing investors Vertex Ventures and Claridge Israel. Erde expressed confidence in the company’s potential, saying: “D-Fend Solutions fits the profile and model that we find very attractive: a category-creating company that develops and deploys deep, defensible technology to address threats posed by the massive proliferation of beneficial technologies but also potentially dangerous devices and products, in this case drones.

A growing market for anti-drone solutions

As drones become more prevalent, the need for anti-drone technology continues to increase. D-Fend Solutions aims to address these challenges with innovative solutions that ensure both security and continuity. With this significant fundraising, the company is poised to expand its influence and continue providing cutting-edge technology to its customers around the world.
