The San Francisco supervisor, Bilal Mahmood, announced that Hayes Valley will become an entertainment area that will allow restaurants and bars to sell alcohol to go and that people can consume them in the region when there is a special event. He says it will help small businesses to prosper. He plans to ask the city to carry out a study to see what can be done elsewhere to help traders and look at the impact of the 400 block 400 of Hayes street in the area without a car seven days a week.
