Indianapolis, ind. – Women’s football in North Florida Allie Fekany was selected to attend the NCAA career in the sports forum held from May 28 to 31 in Indianapolis, ind.

The four-day forum is organized by the NCAA and allows a group of 200 students athletes to have the opportunity to investigate and discover a variety of career opportunities in sport. The content of the forum includes: (by the NCAA)

  • Educate participants on how personal forces intersect with career opportunities.
  • Provide participants with tangible experiences that will advance them in their aspiration for a career in sport.
  • Explore professional and career development strategies to help switch to a career in the sports industry.
  • Discover the role of an intercollegial coach, the administrator of athletics and a national member of the staff of an opportunity organization.

Fekany and the other guest-athletes will have the chance to listen to main speakers, to participate in forums, sessions in small groups and other networking opportunities.

Who is eligible? (by NCAA)

  • Participants must be appointed by their school or conference. Third year, fourth year, fifth year and graduate students are eligible.
  • Applicants must have participated in a sport sponsored by the NCAA during the current academic year at the time of the request deadline. Eligible students who have graduated before the forum dates are eligible to participate. Previous participants in the career in the sports forum are not eligible to reapply.
  • When selecting candidates, schools and conferences are strongly encouraged to consider a diverse list of candidates.

Fekany is currently continuing its baccalaureate in sports management. The native of Orlando, Florida, scored three goals in 17 appearances during her second season in the second year in 2024 for the oscreys. She was appointed to the Asun All-Freshman team in 2022 and made the Academic Honor Asun in each of the last two years.
