In a press release, CSN Union says that it asks the court to overthrow Amazon’s decision to close the seven centers and force the company to pay the 1,700 workers of one year.
The CSN says that Amazon has asked the court to exclude the six non -unionized warehouses and limit the scope of the hearing to 287 unionized workers from the Laval installation in Quebec.
Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comments, but said that its closures aimed to provide effective and profitable services for customers, not to an answer to the Union Drive.
A union spokesperson indicates that hearings should take place intermittently in the coming months.
