With two advanced diplomas and secondary work as Auxiliary professorI appreciate learning and take school very seriously.
So, before I even become a mom, I knew I would be focused on the laser so that my future children get an excellent education. I even assumed that they would get Perfect presence price Each year and never miss a single lesson.
However, parenthood rarely takes place as we intend. Now that my children are a little older, I regularly get them out of school so that we can make trips.
I saw the first hand how much my children learned when traveling
There are so many advantages to browse the world together. Jamie Davis Smith
At first, I was reluctant to remove my children from school to explore the world. However, the more I saw enormous advantages, the more I have comfortable with removing them from the class.
In my opinion, teaching them to convert Moroccan dirhams into dollars was a better math lesson than to sit in class to resolve equations that they had difficulty relating to the real world.
In addition, there are lessons which, I do not think, can be learned in a book – they must be experienced to be fully understood.
For example, although my children learned the holocaust at school, museums and gas chambers visiting Auschwitz have raised their understanding and taught them even more about the horrible genocide.
In addition, the reality of the climate crisis has never been more real than when we were in front of a glacier that was quickly founded Iceland.
Of course, there is also great joy in our trip. Seeing how life adapts and thrives in the desert in Dubai taught them more about evolution than any manual.
My children missed the course to visit places like IndiaThe United Arab Emirates and Istanbul, but in exchange, they learned new cultures, languages, religions and food.
Finally, I realized that I had to remove them from school to integrate into all the trips we wanted to make
We have traveled together in India. Jamie Davis Smith
When we started traveling together, I quickly learned that we couldn’t see as much as we wanted during school breaks.
My children Spring and winter sockets Are generally about a week, which I do not feel is enough time for an international trip. Summer breaks are longer, but some destinations, such as Egypt, are too hot to be pleasant in July and August.
In addition, my children frequent different schools, so their leave does not always align. Six years ago, I started to get them out of school to travel at least a few days a year.
Teachers are not always happy when my Children lack school to travel. I understand why, while teachers work hard to develop lessons and keep the students on the right track.
They often express concerns about the lessons that my children will miss and how they will catch up on their school work. Although I share their concern, so far, my children are not late.
To alleviate this concern, I even try to plan our trips so that they are absent for a few days at the start or at the end of school breaks. In this way, there is no shortage of whole units, and there is less to catch up with their return.
For the moment, we have a system that works and no plans to stop
I do not intend to stop traveling with my children soon. Jamie Davis Smith
Fortunately, some of the teachers of my children responded positively to our trips, commenting on the great experience of our trips.
A teacher – a parent himself – even recognized how great the trip was for the bond as a family. Speaking of experience, I could not agree more.
I also found that when I take out the school children for a trip, they come back more curious and eager to learn. If it never changes, I will come back my approach to travel. But for now, it works.
And until my children go to university, I do not intend to stop taking them to the world with me.
