Bethlehem, Pennsylvania – The Patriot League was selected as a finalist for five prizes in the 2025 sports media when the nominees were announced by the Sports Video Group (SVG) and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
The Patriot League is a finalist in the production of exceptional live games, exceptional production without live play, exceptional social media video and twice according to the exceptional special function of the college division of conferences and guiding bodies.
“There are so much behind-the-scenes work that is entering our championship shows, our social videos and our student-athlete features, and I am extremely proud of our team for all that they have done during the last year that has led to five finalists,” said the Patriot League associate commissioner Jimmy Johnson. “I want to thank all our schools for their support to make it all possible.”
The Patriot League on ESPN’s coverage of the Patriot League 2025 swimming and diving championship was nominated for the exceptional production of live matches, as well as nominees for the American Athletic Conference (AAC), the Ivy League and the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Johnson was executive producer, director and editor -in -chief. Corey Nidoh provided the game by play, and the multimedia journalist of the Patriot League, Paige Messier, provided color comments. The league trainee and the recent graduate of the University of Kutztown, Ethan Kenworthy, were the rereading operator, with Raygen Calabria, Maria Resuta, Elizabeth Deroba, Kyle Pizzichil, Adam Contini and Sam Dixon working on broadcasting.
The Ligue Baseball Baseball Championship in 2024 of the Ligue Live Open was nominated for exceptional production without live playing, as well as candidates from the AAC and Mountain West (MWC) conference. Johnson was the executive producer and deputy director, with Nidoh and Maria Trivelpiece on the call. Joe Beckerle, Ryan Panny, Dan Oakes, Ashley Groover, Mikey Greifenstein, Jack Joannide, Michael Dale, Gabriel Watson, Jack Darling, Owen Albright and Ryan Loeffler also worked on broadcast.
The League had two nominees for an exceptional special characteristic in a category which also had nominees for Conference USA, MWC and Southern Conference (Socon). The multimedia journalist of the Patriot League, Paige Messier, fired and published “Gotterup return from a rare leg injury to play for the navy” (VIDEO). The former multimedia journalist of the League, Maria Trivelpiece, fired and published “Roukey de Bucknell remembers the father by sharing his story” (VIDEO).
Finally, the Patriot League was nominated for the first time in the category of exceptional social videos, alongside candidates of Conference USA and Socon. The media threshing videos of the Patriot League championship were produced and published by Johnson.
SVG reward notes
* The Patriot League won two SVG awards, including the 2022 prize for the series of exceptional programs for its ” # Titleixat50 series”.
* The League has been a finalist in exceptional live production in the past six of the last seven years, winning the honor of the Championships of athletics in the room of the Patriot League 2019.
* The Patriot League has been a finalist in at least one category in each of the last eight years.
* Army West Point Athletics is a finalist in two categories of the college division of athletics – championship, including exceptional social videos and an exceptional cinematic summary.
* Holy Cross was nominated for her 2024-25 football media football video in the exceptional social media video category.
Ceremony information
The finalists were selected by SVG and NACDA, while the winners will be selected by a panel of judges and announced to the 17th annual SVG College Sports Media Awards on May 28 at 5 p.m. The ceremony in person will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and organized by the former multimedia journalist at Patriot League Maria Trivelpied.
