A 33-year-old Toronto mother faces an attempted murder of murder after a child was pushed back from the balcony of a condo to the city center on Monday evening.
According to legal documents obtained by Global News, the woman is accused of having administered a harmful substance, namely tylenol and / or acetaminophen and alcohol, not providing the necessities of life to a child under the age of 16, was trying to murder and a serious assault.
Toronto police confirmed that the woman had faced a total of four charges relating to a young child, who said that Global News was four years old.

Several tenants tell Global News, they had heard that a child had fallen from a balcony on the 10th floor.

The woman is expected to return to court on Thursday, although an audience for release under bail has not yet been planned.
Global News also learned that the woman was facing exceptional accusations concerning an incident almost two years ago. According to court documents, on April 1, 2023, the woman was accused of assault, mischief and assault with a weapon in relation to the child’s father.
A police spokesman said he had not proactively disclosed information because there was no risk to public security.
