The “Future of Sleep” bed uses sensors to analyze the physical condition of the elongated person on it and adjusts the mattress to the best position for them.

Osaka, Japan >> Exhibitions where visitors can experience advanced technologies attract large crowds at Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.

The 13 interactive pavilions, presenting the technology presented by Japanese companies and private organizations, have approached long lines in various ways to allow the most visitors as possible to take advantage of the exhibitions.

Take advantage of the future of sleep

In Pasona Group Inc. Pavilion, the crowds gathered around graphic displays and other health care exhibitions on April 18.

Before the start of the exhibition, a beating heart based on induced multipotent stem cells attracted a lot of attention. (Cells are described by Sinai cedars as “master cells capable of ripening in any human cell they want”.)

But since the opening, a bed on which visitors can go to bed to live “the future of sleep” has quickly become popular.

The bed uses sensor technology, developed by the manufacturer of major machine Minebeamitsumi Inc., to analyze the physical condition of the person who tastes, and the mattress automatically changes their angle to guide them into a comfortable sleep.

A woman from Nisshin, Aichi Prefecture, who lying on the bed, said: “It was soft and comfortable. It is good that it offers sleep support to all that suits them.”

Long lines formed at the display of the bed from the first day of the exhibition, and the pavilion is now distributing tickets for visitors with designated times to try the bed.

The main characteristic of the Japanese Pavilion Telegraph and Telephone Corp., new generation telecommunications technology, also attracted the crowd.

To allow as many people as possible to experience bleeding technology, NTT pavilion operators have set up additional phones with Iown technology outside the space. Telephones allow users to transmit not only videos and audio, but also to touch and vibrations to people in distant places.

Tradition is the draw for international tourists

Some pavilions are very popular among international children and visitors.

Japan Gas Association offers everyone, even children, the possibility of having fun by learning how technology is used to cause a chemical reaction between carbon dioxide and hydrogen that produces methane, the main component of the city’s gas.

Visitors can also assess the use of extended or XR technology, which merges reality with images of virtual reality. Participants wearing glasses can turn into a ghost in a virtual space to participate in XR games.

The game is so popular, reservations in advance fill up quickly. But the gas association has created an area at the pavilion where visitors can wait for cancellations.

Instead of technology, Osaka Restaurant Management Association offers participants something traditional: the manufacture of sushi. The event, organized by the manufacturer of vinegars Tamanoi Vinegar Co., is filled with capacity day after day.

The company said that the response was “beyond our expectations” and that it decided to organize an additional event specifically for international visitors.

“We hope that as many foreign visitors as possible will appreciate traditional Japan cuisine,” said a Tamanoi official.

The exhibition takes place until October 13.
