Water is essential to life, and it is also an important engineering tool. On March 21, the staff of the NASA Glenn Research Center joined the Great Lakes Science Center to celebrate World Water Day at the Science Center, Nasa Glenn Visitor Center in downtown Cleveland. The staff carried out practical demonstrations highlighting the liquid cooling of NASA and the ventilation garment during the free day for students.
This interactive activity helped students discover how NASA uses water to regulate the body temperatures of astronauts during space balls.
About 450 students and educators attended the event.
