Detroit – Javier Baez struck a three -point circuit – his second in the match – in 11th round for his first multi -homer match in Detroit, raising the Tigers to a 10-9 victory against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday evening.
The Al-Leading Tigers were ahead in the first, third, fourth and sixth rounds and lost their heads each time.
After late in each of the two additional rounds, they returned to win a second consecutive match against Boston and 10th in 13 games.
Kristian Campbell struck a two-point circuit in the 11th, but Greg Weissert (1-1) did not hold a two-point lead. He allowed Jace Jung to hit a simple head and Baez to light a shot probably on the left.
