Keeping and promoting a healthy lifestyle for themselves and the community is the reason why Andrea and John Jaskowiak have launched their business Jasko’s Farm.
“My husband and I started a farm together,” said Andrea. “What is important is that we want to be healthy. And we want to give back to the community. “
Andrea is a respiratory therapist, and John is an army veteran and a nurse. On Saturday, they can be found by selling their products from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cabrini Farmers Market in the parking lot of St. Francis Cabrini church on East Texas avenue.
At their stand, you will find organic farm eggs. Andrea said their chickens and geese are not raised in the cages and are in freedom and produce “high quality eggs”.
“They are without pesticide – without Gunk – all the bad things that we do not want,” she said.

The jaskowiaks lived in eastern Texas, where Andrea said that there were “egg farms” and that all the chickens lived in buildings where they did not see the sun.
“They don’t receive all this healthy sun, herbs and insects,” she said.
Their chickens are healthy, she says, because “they get all kinds of insects and treats and flowers like healthy dandelions”.
“And we give them flakes of red pepper, which is good for their guts – which is good for our guts too,” said Jaskowski. “And that makes a healthy chicken that produces healthy eggs. Same thing for geese. “
Chickens and geese are raised on the same food.
“We give them an organic diet,” she said.
The Jaskowskis plan to bring more fresh products to the market they have grown up like tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers and okra. The only thing they will not have is corn because they don’t have the area of their farm to grow it.
They also have frosts, jams, salsas and tastoring and various pickles.
“I do it just because I like it and they have a good taste,” she said. In addition, everyone asks them and is happy when they see that they make them.
Andrea says she also makes healthy white bread without preservatives. Last year, she also did apple compote. Jaskowski likes to emphasize that she does not put anything artificial in any of her products.
