Toronto – The female female star Ayami Sato marked history as the first woman to play Sunday in a professional Canadian baseball league.
She also made her perfect debut for the Maple Leafs of the Intercounty baseball league.
Sato withdrew a striker without leaving anyone on the basis during the first two heats of a possible defeat of 6-5 against the Kitchener panthers.

Widely considered to be the best female launcher in baseball, the 35 -year -old in Japan signed with the Maple Leafs in December to become the first IBL player.
Sato helped Japan win five of its seven consecutive Women’s Baseball World Cup (2010, 2012, 2014, 2014, 2018), winning MVP honors in 2014, ’16 and ’18.
She launched in the Japan Women’s Baseball League from 2013 until she suspended operations in 2021, leading the league behind the stick in three of her last four seasons.
Toronto finished seventh from IBL last season with a 17-25 file.
