2025 US Open: Oakmont is preparing to accommodate its 10th championship

Oakmont and the USGA seek to give the best players in the world a difficult challenge and fans a unique experience in the 125th US Open championship.

Each week, the Beaver County Times recognizes athletes and individual teams for its impressive performance during the previous week of the sports action of secondary school. Here are the remarkable efforts from May 4 to 9.

Baseball

Kolton Johnson, Quaker Valley

Johnson was 2 for 2 with a pair of points produced in the team’s 5-1 victory against the Obama Academy.

Jordan Keller, Ellwood City

Keller recorded two strokes in two at-bats during the team’s 11-1 defeat against Montour.

Oscar Roig, Quaker Valley

Apart from recording at a safe blow, Roig launched four rounds and did not grant any points on three strokes and a walk while withdrawing five in the team’s victory over the Obama Academy.

Tyler Kisling, beaver area

Kisling recorded three strokes in the team’s 2-1 victory against North Catholic.

Ty Butler, Castor area

Butler launched 5.2 rounds allowing one in seven strokes, three bullets and posted seven in the team’s victory against North Catholic.

Dylan Smith, Blackhawk

After hitting a home run and driving in two points at the opening of the series against Hopewell, Smith recorded three strokes and four points produced Tuesday during the team’s 10-4 victory over Hopewell.

Connor Welsh, Blackhawk

Welsh led three points to the team’s victory over Hopewell.

Carter Davis, Blackhawk

Davis posed eight on the mound in the team’s victory over Hopewell in the opening of the series.

Dean Douglass, Olsh

Douglass went 2 for 3 with two points produced in the team’s 4-0 victory on Riverview.

Thomas Medwig, Olsh

Medwig launched a complete laundering against Riverview by abandoning five strokes while withdrawing six in the team’s 4-0 victory on Riverview. Then in the final of the series, Medwig went 2-in-3 in the 4-3 victory of the team on Riverview to finish the scanning of the series.

Vernon Krepps, New Brighton

Krepps launched a full match not granting any race won while placing eight in the 2-1 defeat of the team against Neshannock.

Iseia Schulz, Olsh

Schulz made six rounds allowing two points at eight strokes, which allows a free pass and withdrawing six in the series of the Balay Over Riverview team.

Nolan Donelly, Sewickley Academy

Zoey Linder, Blackhawk

Bridget Mayo, Castor area

Mayo went 2-in-5 with a pair of products produced in the defeat of the team against Blackhawk.

Olivia Peabody, beaver area

Peabody went 3 for 5 with five points produced in the 13-6 victory of the team against Central Valley.

Abby Hojilda, Castor area

Hojilda went 2 for 3 with four points produced in the team’s victory against Central Valley.

Rhiannon Rabassi, Castor area

Rabassi had a blow with two points produced in the team’s victory over Central Valley.

Charlotte Andrews, Sewickley Academy

Andrews filed 18 in the defeat of the 4-3 team against South Side.

Eva Parris, Blackhawk

Parris went 3 for 3 in the 15-2 victory of the team on Beaver Falls.

Layla Yenges, Blackhawk

Yenges made four rounds with the victory of team 15-2 against Beaver Falls.

Victoria Mann, Hopewell

Mann went 3-in-4 with two points produced in the team’s 10-2 victory in the Moon area.

Tallulah Showrank, Hopewell

Showrank was 3-in-4 with four points produced in the team’s victory over the Moon area.

Emma Eannarino, Sewickley Academy

Eannarino collected seven goals in the 19-4 victory of the team against Ambridge. She then posted four goals in the team’s victory over the Moon area.

Lauren Fair, Blackhawk

Fair counted a hat trick and a decisive pass in the team’s 12-8 victory over Bethel Park.

Andrea Kinger, Blackhawk

Kinger recorded three goals and a team’s victory aid on Bethel Park.

Lucy Roig, Quaker Valley

Roig posted a hat round during the team’s 10-1 victory over the Sewickley Academy.
