Yungblud, the singer at the top of the graphic who organized his own festival, said that he had planned to become a politician.
The 27 -year -old artist – whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison – said he wanted to “provide a good somewhere” in the future, after working with fans in recent years to make concerts more affordable.
“This whole community was built on human connection, on the way people live and with which people have trouble,” he told BBC One on Sunday with the Laura Kuensberg program.
When asked if he had thought of going further by entering politics, he said: “I thought about it, I know it’s crazy … I think it made me pass my mind – Yungblud the politician.”
Last year, he launched his own festival, Bludfest, Milton Keynes, which was criticized by some after Long queues and a lack of water changed the fans and miss the concert.
With tickets sold for £ 73.25 for this year’s festival in the city of Buckinghashire, Yungblud said that he thought that more expensive events had become “a privilege thing” that “do not represent real people”.
“I cannot play a festival where it is like 800 Enid a ticket,” he said, adding that artists like Coldplay were welcome to join the event.
The pop-punk musician, known for songs like cotton barbe and beada, had Two number one albums in the British graphic With weird! In 2020 and his eponymous album in 2022.
But in the interview, he thought how difficult it was to be a young person today with “so much anger” and hatred in the comments of social media videos.
When he was asked what his hardest moment was, he said, “I will never forget, someone came to see me in an pub in East London and was just like” Your music is terrible and I don’t believe you and I hate “.”
He said he felt “like an injured animal” where you “try to lick and bring you back”.
While at the time, at the age of 22, he replied with a provisional “oh, yeah, cool like”, now he feels confident not to “give them the power of a reaction”.
Before the release next month of his new album, Idols, he said that one of the themes behind him was to “kiss my masculinity, which is a crazy thing to say in 2025”.
“Honestly, I’m so proud of what we have created,” he said about his young fans base.
