Winnipeg jets are back in equal terms in their series of second round qualifying series.
The jets scored twice in the first eight minutes and Connor Hellebuyck was great while the jets beat Dallas 4-0 stars in match 2 Friday in Canada Life Center. The jets equalized the series of best seven to a match each.
Hellebuyck made a certain number of key stops at the end of the second period and finished with 21 stops for its fourth bleaching in the playoffs and the first since 2021.
It is the first time in their last seven qualifying games that the jets have granted less than three goals. The jets had abandoned three or more goals in 16 of their 18 previous qualifying games and Hellebuyck had seemed much more comfortable in the net than in the first round against Saint-Louis.
“There were stretching in the first round where I really liked my game, I just didn’t get the results,” said Hellebuyck. “But broke it, built it better, and I like where we are, and the team in front of me plays phenomenal.”
Nikolaj Ehlers scored two goals and added a decisive pass for his first eliminatory match in three points in career as the team went on the right track after a disappointing match 1.
“Much better obviously,” said Ehlers. “We had talked about starting better than the last match and I think everyone could see that we were ready to leave. The first 30 minutes, we played a very good game. ”
The jets are now 5-1 on home ice in the playoffs.
Gabriel Vilardi and Adam Lowry also scored the markers for Winnipeg in victory.

“I thought we had played faster,” said head coach Scott Arniel. “I thought we got out of our end quickly and that allowed us to go there. When we put pressure, whether in zone O or whether in zone D, it is the idea of helping to work to recover the washer. ”
Josh Morrissey returned to programming for the jets after being injured in the thriller of match 7. He had aid in more than 22 minutes of ice time in his first match.
This is the first time that jets have been entirely healthy since the end of March.
“This is the first time since the 71 match that everyone is back,” said Arniel. “It was good to see. There is obviously familiarity, started with this power game.
“When you have your list as what everyone is aligned in their places. Having your four best defenders, having your six best offensive guys, then you have two lines of verification, two heavy lines. As, we are back to watch, finally as if we have sought most of the season.”
After going 0-for-4 on the power game in the opening of the series, the jets broke on the man advantage at 3:35 in the game.
“We were very successful this year,” said Vilardi. “I just have to continue.
Winnipeg has surpassed Dallas 25-21 and the jets have granted less than 30 shots to the goal in the nine playoffs so far.
The jets will look for their first series in series on Sunday with match 3 in Dallas from 3.30 p.m.
