The Pentagon has ordered all military academies to identify and remove books from their libraries that deal with questions such as race, gender ideology and other “division concepts” which are now considered “incompatible with the basic mission of the department”, according to a memo obtained by CNN.

The service note, dated on Friday, is signed by the deputy deputy deputy subsectary for the personnel and preparation and also announces the creation of a temporary university library committee “made up of well-informed leaders, educators and professionals of the library” through the Ministry of Defense who will help to identify and “kidnap” offended books for more review.

The books must be identified and put aside for examination before May 21, indicates the memo.

The Committee has already developed a list of research terms to help military leaders identify the books that may have to be deleted. The terms include: “Positive action”, “anti-racism”, “allyship”, “diversity at work”, “gender transition”, “white privilege” and “critical theory of race”, according to an attachment to the memo.

The creation of a special committee to examine the books for withdrawal from military academies marks an escalation of efforts from the Ministry of Defense to eliminate the content of “diversity, equity and inclusion” through the army.

In A separate memo note Released on Friday, the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, also said that there would be “no consideration of race, ethnicity or sex” in admissions to American military academies, which will concentrate admissions “exclusively on merit”. The memo ordered service academies to classify candidates, starting with the admission cycle of 2026, “with merit -based scores”, accepting the best classified candidates in each category of appointment.

“Merit -based scores can give weight to unique sporting talents or other experiences such as military service or previous performance in an MSA preparatory school,” said memo. We do not know how the directive will have an impact on the ability of American senators to recommend people to admission to military academies.

The Naval Academy has already withdrawn nearly 400 pounds from its main library in order to comply with the executive decree of President Donald Trump in January to require the abolition of all schools of “diversity, actions and inclusion” of K-12 schools, which, HegSeth, also told military academies later.

The Naval Academy also canceled a conference that author Ryan Holiday was to give students last month after refusing to withdraw the slides of his planned presentation which criticized the Academy’s decision to withdraw the books, CNN reported.

A professor of titular philosophy in West Point wrote in An editorial for the New York Times On Thursday, he resigned after 13 years at school because he “suddenly eliminated lessons, modifying programs and censoring the arguments to include the ideological tastes of the Trump administration”. Professor, Graham Parsons, wrote that West Point interpreted the order of Hegseth “largely” and put “a radical aggression in the school study program and the search for members of the faculty”.

In response to Parson’s opinion, Hegseth posted on X Thursday: “You will not miss Professor Parsons”, and the Dod’s quick response account called “Woke” Parsons.

Students and parents too said to CNN last month The fact that anti-DEI policy has a direct impact on school students from the Ministry of Defense from around the world, because courses such as AP psychology and certain student clubs and books have been prohibited in DOD schools. ACLU continued the DOD on politics.

Meanwhile, articles on the holocaust, terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, awareness of cancer, prevention of sexual assault and suicide were among the tens of thousands of people deleted or reported for the withdrawal of Pentagon websites while the ministry rushed to conform to the order of Hegseth.

Friday’s memo said that the library committee said that the examination of the book moves would be “deliberate” and led by “experts in the fields of education and the department of the department”.
