The delegation participates in Regeneron ISEF 2025 with projects that combine science, creativity and commitment to social transformation
Brasilia, May 9, 2025: This Friday, 15 Brazilian students will embark on a trip to the United States to participate in the International Science Fair and in Regeneron (ISEF) 2025 engineering, the largest international science and engineering fair for high school students. They were selected by the Brazilian Fair of Sciences and Engineering (Febace), which takes place in March, and will present their projects in Columbus, Ohio, between May 10 and 16.
The February delegation brings together students from public schools and federal institutes from different regions of Brazil. These are the authors of nine projects that stood out for their scientific excellence, their originality and their social relevance. Subjects include the development of sustainable technologies for water treatment, artificial intelligence tools to combat disinformation, innovative research in the health field, waste reuse solutions. and ecological alternatives for packaging and ceramics.
The participation of the delegation is supported by the United States Embassy and consulates in Brazil, which covered the costs of transport, accreditation, accommodation and food, as part of their commitment to strengthen scientific education and international exchanges between young talents.
In addition to February students, Brazil will also be represented at ISEF by the students selected by the International Science and Technology Exhibition (Mostratec), in Novo Hamburgo (RS), totaling 28 Brazilian participants. In total, more than 1,600 students from 60 countries will participate in the Fair, which distributes around $ 9 million in prices, scholarships, internships and recognitions in 22 scientific categories, as well as special prices granted by universities and world research establishments.
