Formerly main advisor with a West Wing office and a large portfolio, Ivanka Trump emerged for her first major public event in the second term of her father on Thursday – this time, as a private citizen representing a private sector company.
The president’s eldest daughter went to Bentonville, Arkansas, where she was interviewed by Arianna Huffington for the Heartland summit, an annual business, philanthropy and opinion leaders led by the heirs of Walmart’s fortune.

CNN reported in December that Trump remains very close to her father, with whom she regularly speaks, said a source close to her.
Since her return to the office, she has brought her family to the White House for inaugural festivities, attended Donald Trump’s address to a joint congress session and brought her children back in April to celebrate the victory of the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl.
But several friends told CNN at the end of last year that she was at peace with her decision to leave politics and that she prioritizes her family, tries to find some privacy and to pursue new interests.
Since her departure from politics, she has worked with the victims of Hawaii forest fires and Hurricaneness from North Carolina, volunteered with Ukrainian refugees in Poland and food boxes wrapped in a local kosher food bank.
