THE 2024-25 Greater Akron-Canton High School Sports Awards are happy to announce Joe Thomas Professional Football Temple As a guest speaker for his live event on Tuesday June 17 at John S. Knight Center in Akron. The show is produced with the support of Meijer.
A Renowned templeThomas cemented himself as one of the most accomplished and decorated athletes so that the feet have ever put on NFL field. Third selected overall by the Cleveland Browns In the NFL 2007 NFL, Thomas has become one of the five players in history to be selected in Pro Bowl during each of its first 10 seasons. Its 10,363 consecutive shots played is the longest sequence in history.
Thomas was also the only player in the history of the team to win the Walter Payton Man of the Year Browns of the Cleveland Browns (2010, 2016) several times. After an illustrious 11 -year career, the NFL Ironman decided to withdraw from the League.
Before joining the Browns, Thomas was an All-American at the University of Wisconsin, winning honors as the best interior line in the country.
Grow in the Wisconsin, Thomas was a multi-sport athlete in Brookfield Central High School.
An outdoor enthusiast, Thomas once co-organized “Outdoors Ohio” on Sporttime Ohio and loves hunting, fishing and agriculture. Thomas could be seen on the NFL Network pre-match and post-match emissions for each Thursday evening football match in 2019, as well as on the in-depth NFL Network coverage of events such as the Super Bowl, the NFL Scouting combines and the NFL draft.
In 2024, Thomas trained with the Ravens of Munich in the European Football League. Thomas is a partner in several BBQ mission franchises.
Originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, Joe and his wife Annie Resident in Middleton, Wisconsin with their four children.
