In partnership with Aauw Delaware, the series of Conferences Science and Society of the Lewes public library will host Dr. Karen Lloyd for an online presentation at 5:00 pm, Tuesday May 13, on the basis of his book “Intraterrestrials: Discovering The Stranges Life On Earth”. “”
Life prosperous in the deepest and darkest corners of the earth’s crust – methane infiltration at the bottom of the ocean at the highest range of Arctic permafrost – and it is different from all that is seen on the surface. Lloyd will share his work experiences in difficult and often dangerous conditions by discovering underground life that is really foreign: microbes living in environments as extreme as boiling water, pure acid and whitening, with some of these living cells surviving for hundreds of thousands of years or more.
