During the national month of awareness of mental health, we recognize the millions of Americans affected by the challenges of mental health, and my administration remains determined to prioritize their well-being.
Mental diseases can affect anyone, whatever their history or their circumstances. No one should have to face these challenges alone. Recognizing the signs, promoting open dialogue and showing compassion are essential stages to meet the challenges of mental health and support those who face them.
My administration is faced with mental health challenges that our country faces in the context of efforts to improve the overall health and well-being of all Americans. The Make America Healthy Again commission addresses the deep cause of climbing the health crisis of our country and undertakes to provide transparency and opening data, conducting starred gold research, while improving access to nutritious food and widening treatment options to protect the health of each American.
We also remain determined to ensure that every man and woman who served in uniform has access to mental health and suicide prevention resources they need. Person who defended our country should have a hard time getting support when he needs it most.
If you have trouble with your mental health, it is important to reach out to others and ask for support professionals. Together, we will build a stronger and healthier future for everyone.
Now, therefore, I, Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, under the authority that I am devoted by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, proclaims by this May 2025 as a national month of awareness of mental health. I call on all Americans to support citizens with mental illnesses, to raise awareness among mental health problems through appropriate programs and activities and to commit our nation to innovative prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
