Edmonds-Woodway has beaten Shorewood 3-2 (8 rounds)

The Warriors of Edmonds-Woodway finished the Wesco 3A / 2A title with an extra-inning victory on Shorewood, 3-2. It was the third consecutive league title for Edmonds-Woodway, improving his 36-4 championship record during their three-year race.

Andreas Simonsen was also all about number three. He went three for three to marble, marking the three runners of warriors, and he also stole three bases.

Lukas Wanke launched seven solid rounds for the Warriors, giving only five strokes, two points (one deserved), walking three and removing four strikers. Wanke was the winning launcher, improving his record at 6-0 this season. Finn Crawford entered and picked up the backup by removing the three shorewood strikers which he faced at the bottom of the eighth round.

The Warriors closed the regular season with a 10-2 file and a global record of 16-5. They will then face Monroe in the quarter-final round of the district qualifiers on Saturday May 10 with an early start hour at the time of the Edmonds-Woodway high school. The district tournament is a double elimination with four teams which finally take place towards the state tournament.
