Before my trip, I was not very familiar with Polish cuisine Beyond Pierogi, the beloved dumplings of the country which are often boiled and filled with potato puree.
I ate a lot throughout my stay and I was delighted to see that most of the food I ate in Poland was not so beige or basic.
In reality, the country surprised me with its wide selection of diversified and modern cuisine.
I found many high -end restaurants, some serving Polish fusion cuisine and others serving classics like pasta and steak that I would find at home. An inspiration restaurant in the Middle East served me dishes that seemed almost too pretty to eat.
Because Poland is a relatively affordable country compared to the United States, I felt like I could eat like a queen here, even if I was traveling on a budget. It was great to have dinner in Michelin star restaurants that I could never have afforded the United States.
For example, a tasting meal of five dishes in Krakow Michelin star Bottiglieria 1881 starts at around 60 euros, or $ 68. In the United States, a similar culinary experience can easily cost more than double.
With the exception of a Poor fast food restaurant My children insisted to try, every meal I had in Poland was delicious.
