Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 30, 2025: IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the largest hotel groups in the world, has signed a management agreement with API Hotels & Resorts to launch the first Kimpton hotel to water. To open its doors at T1 2026, Kimpton Dubai marks the brand’s debut in the emirate and continues the regional expansion of the IHG, which now has more than 122 hotels and nearly 44,000 rooms in nine Middle East countries.
Kimpton, known internationally for its distinctive conception, its sincere hospitality and its immersive lifestyle, has established a strong world presence through the Americas, Europe and Asia. The entrance to the brand to water reflects the growing demand for store style stays and led by experience in the landscape of luxury hospitality in the region.
Positioned along the emblematic Business Bay business channel, a few minutes from Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, Kimpton Dubai will serve again dynamic social center for the city. The region has already established itself as an attractive commercial and leisure destination, attracting a diverse mix of residents, visitors and professionals.
The new hotel will include 280 rooms, including a mixture of standard and suites, three unique catering concepts and seven flexible meeting spaces, including a ballroom. By highly emphasizing well-being and leisure, customers will be able to enjoy a roof swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, organized retail stores and a large parking lot. True to Kimpton’s reputation for innovative culinary offers, the hotel will focus on exceptional experiences of food and drinks.
This marks the second collaboration between IHG and API Hotels & Resorts, after the opening of the intercontinental residences of Dubai Business Bay in September 2024. Earlier, IHG signed a management agreement with the King Abdullah Financial District Management and Development Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Capital of Riyadh in the region.
