Quincy, ill. (KHQA) – The celebration and the Dogwood 2025 parade festival take place in Quincy on Saturday May 3.
The free event takes place at the friends of the Bull Lorenzo house from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Participants can meet on the lawn to watch the Dogwood parade and stay after food, rides, live entertainment and other family pleasure throughout the afternoon.
The friends of the president of Lorenzo Bull House, Dick Wellman, says that it is their third year of organization of the event, bringing back an older tradition.
“Years ago, we used to make a sort of festival in the city center on Main Street at the end of the parade, and we therefore somehow brought this as a return to a Cornood festival after the parade,” said Wellman.
Wellman also said that the event on Saturday was a fun activity for those of all ages, and a good way for people to live the lawn of Lorenzo Bull House.
“It is a place where we want to welcome the community, the Lorenzo Bull Park, and many people do not realize that it is a park, but we want the community to use this park and appreciate it,” said Wellman.
Free visits to Lorenzo Bull House will also be available for anyone interested.
