Gwen Gray, Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship Librarian from the University of Missouri, has received the Excellence Librariacs’ Prize in the Business and Business Services Association of the Association of Reference Services and User Services, a division of the American Library Association.
In a letter of appointment, Jaya Ghosh, director of the Biomedical Mu Coulter Accelerator Program, praised Gray’s contributions to the financing of the translational mizzou research, training and mentoring programs and other entrepreneurial offers, including the entrepreneur Student Accelerator.
“Gwen’s work considerably improves the capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship of MU, and by extension of the Missouri and the United States as a whole,” wrote Ghosh.
Gray’s contributions include support for entrepreneurial initiatives at local and national levels, to promote community partnerships, to support students’ success and to provide professional mentoring to students. She has devoted years of career to developing and strengthening networks that have created lasting impacts on her community and the broader profession.
“I am humiliated to receive the Brass Excellence in BusinesshiP prize,” she said. “A big thank you to the committee for selected me for receiving this honor. I had a wonderful support throughout my career in the Mizzu libraries. ”
