Grammy nominee (and North Carolina native) NaTasha Yvette Williams performed at the Cameron Art Museum on December 18th.

Christmas came a week early for a well-dressed Wilmington crowd Wednesday night.

Grammy-winning and Tony-nominated Broadway performer NaTasha Yvette Williams, a Fayetteville native, rocked the house with a concert of seasonal songs at the Cameron Art Museum, using her world-class voice to deliver soulful renditions of ” O Holy Night,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” and even an a cappella version of the Johnny Mercer/Hoagy Carmichael classic “Skylark.”

Williams, who was in Wilmington earlier this year to star in “Death of a Salesman” at Thalian Hallcame from New York, where she is in “Chicago” on Broadway, for the concert. She was accompanied on the piano by Ray Kennedy, who organized the show. The singer said Wilmington was like “a second home” to her.

Even if you missed out last night, there’s still plenty more Christmas fun coming this weekend, as you’ll see below.

Weekend weather forecast
