The provincial public service said that damaged trees on electric lines and broken posts were part of the damage that the crews evaluated.
Environment Canada had warned against damaged winds, significant hail and heavy rain before severe thunderstorm.
Local public services reported that around 1,000 customers were still without electricity in Toronto and around 500 in Ottawa, but the figures fell on Wednesday.
Large parts of the province were under flooding advice.
