Carney says that the projected liberal victory arrives at “Hinge Point in History” – National

Liberal leader Mark Carney will form the government, Global News projects.

Although the votes are always counted in certain parts of the country, it is not clear if the liberals will form a majority or minority government. Carney too won in his own district of NepeanGlobal News Projects.

Carney said the Canadians were standing at a “hinge” in history.

“We are again in one of these hinge moments in history. Our old relationship with the United States – a relationship based on progressive integration is over. ”

“The open global trade system anchored by the United States, a system on which Canada has relied on since the Second World War, a system which, even if not perfect-has helped provide prosperity for a country for decades, is over,” he said.

Carney spoke to supporters in Ottawa, exposing the threat of the United States as its absolute priority.

“America wants our land, our resources, our water, our country. These are not inactive threats. President Trump tries to break so that America can own us. This will never happen,” he said.

Carney added: “We must also recognize the reality that our world has fundamentally changed.”

The liberal chief warned that there were difficult days to come.

“We are above the shock of American betrayal, but we must never forget the lessons,” he said.

He said that his government would strengthen economic strength in the time to come.

“We are going to build, baby, build.”

Hairy added that his party would continue to keep the government to account, but added that they would also work with the government with regard to the fight against Trump’s prices.

“The conservatives will work with the Prime Minister and all the parties with the common goal of defending the interests of Canada and obtaining a new trade agreement which puts these prices behind us while protecting our sovereignty and the Canadian people,” he said.

The leader of the NPD, Jagmeet Singh, conceded the defeat in his conduct of central Burnaby and said that he would be resign as a party leader.

“I’m going to move as a party leader as soon as an interim leader can be appointed,” he said.

“It is the honor of my life to represent the inhabitants of Central Burnaby. Tonight, they have chosen a new member of the Parliament, and I wish them good luck because they continue to work hard for this community,” Singh told supporters.

Singh also congratulated Carney.

“I want to take a moment to congratulate Prime Minister Carney for his victory. He has an important job to represent to represent all Canadians and to protect our country and his sovereignty against the threats of Donald Trump,” he said.

Tuesday, Preliminary showed that 7.3 million voters voted during the surveys in advance during the long Easter weekend, an increase of 25% compared to the 5.8 million anticipated votes in the federal elections of 2021.
