Provincial police said that an organ found in a north of the Ontario river earlier this month was identified as an American who was missing last December.

The police said that US officials thought that the disappeared man had tried to cross Canada in a place other than a port of entrance.
The OPP said that a body was found in the Rainy river near the city of Emo on April 16.
The police said they identified the person as Michael Tjosaas, 59, who had disappeared since December 28.
They say that his cause of death is compatible with drowning and unfair game is not suspected.
