Background
The quadripartite (FAO, UNP, WHO, WOAH), as well as the key partners, implement the Nexus One Health Knowledge Nexus project to strengthen health collaboration in the engagement, exchange of knowledge, learning and dissemination sectors, supporting the continuous progress of health. As part of this initiative, the quadripartite launches its community of health global practice (COP) to support the institutionalization of the health approach at all levels. The COP will serve as platforms for decision-makers, experts, practitioners and other stakeholders to share experiences, discuss governance challenges and co-develop solutions to improve health governance frameworks and policies.
This effort is aligned with the joint action plan of the quadripartite one health and its implementation guide, both of which underline the critical need for solid governance mechanisms to improve institutional and legal frameworks, strengthen multisectoral coordination and improve the coherence of policies.
